Exposure to the elements, changing out propane tanks, and general use can cause weathering and erosion on the connections or to the hose itself. This wear and tear can lead to small leaks in the system, and though these leaks may be tiny, they can create inefficiencies which can create a safety hazard and increase fuel waste.
