Casual Creations is a local, family-owned business that has served Baton Rouge and the surrounding area for more than 26 years. Through the years, our service area has expanded greatly. Now with the availability of our website, we can serve our customers almost anywhere.

Bob and Nancy Bucy moved to Baton Rouge in 1976. After retiring from the commercial furniture business in 1994, they decided to open their own store. With the help of their son, Rick, Casual Creations was born.

In August, 2000, they were joined by Dan Brown. He and Rick grew up together, and he proved to be a perfect fit for the “family-owned” atmosphere of the store. In January 2007, he became a junior partner. Bob passed away in February 2008; since then Nancy, Rick, his wife, Beth and Dan have kept up the values Bob set in place . . . excellent customer service, high quality products, and most importantly, making sure we had the best available prices.

If you haven’t had the opportunity to visit Casual Creations, you may be surprised when you walk through the door. The store may appear small from the street, but as you enter, you will be amazed by the amount and diversity of product on  display within the store. From furniture, gas logs, screens & fire sets, custom glass doors, gas and charcoal grills to custom grill islands, hammocks, rugs, outdoor lighting and curtains and much more. Rick states, “We are a family business and intend to stay that way. We don’t want to be the biggest; we just want to be the best”.  Rick attributes much of their success to the hands-on customer service and the word-of-mouth advertising from their satisfied customers. “We try to have an honest answer to every question, whether we sell what they are looking for or not. We prefer to help a customer find what they want rather than what we want to sell.”

Custom, Custom, Custom!  “We will do whatever our customers can envision. Furniture, fireplaces, fire pits and outdoor kitchens can be outfitted to suit a client’s individual desire. Unlike the big box stores, we don’t have a ‘here it is, take it or leave it’ frame of mind.  We love the challenge of the one-of-a-kind installation.
