gallery59.jpgCan’t wait to fire up your outdoor kitchen or grill? Before you do, it’s important that you remove and check all electrical appliances for clogs, leaks, cracks, or other minor problems.

This step might seem like a pain, but it could save you a lot of money in the long run. If you have a refrigerator, ice maker, or any other electrical appliance, you want to unplug it, pull it out, make sure all the ventilation is clear, then plug it back in. Many appliances wear out before they should because they overheat. Overheating can happen more quickly if the vents are blocked. Something as simple as a few leaves finding their way behind the refrigerator can present an easily correctible problem.

So before you haul out your hunting bounty to thaw in the outdoor refrigerator, follow this simple safety tip. For any other questions or concerns with your outdoor kitchen or grill, check out our blog and give the outdoor cooking experts at Casual Creations a call!
